Troymet Mobilizes Drill to McClarty Lake VMS Project

February 11, 2008 - Troymet Exploration Corp. (TSXV:TYE) (the “Company”) is pleased to announce the mobilization of a diamond drill to its McClarty Lake project, located 47 kilometres southwest of Snow Lake, Manitoba. Field preparation is underway for a 3000-metre drilling campaign scheduled to commence on February 15, 2008.

The Company has contracted Dr. Alan Bailes, formerly Chief Geologist of the Precambrian Mapping Division, Manitoba Geological Survey, to assist with the drilling program. Dr. Bailes is an expert on the geology and volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) deposits of the Flin Flon — Snow Lake Belt and will be invaluable in gaining an understanding of the geological setting and controls to mineralization on the McClarty Lake project.

This program follows up on the 2007 discovery of zinc + copper mineralization within a semi- to massive sulphide horizon that has been intersected over a 425-metre strike at vertical depths of 100 to 250 metres (Reference: Sept. 26, 2007 news release). Up to 8.3% zinc over 0.5 metres was returned from the second hole of the program, within a 7.45-metre intersection that returned 2.94% zinc and 0.17% copper. Approximately 225 metres to the north, previous drilling intersected precious metal mineralization and anomalous base metal values, returning up to 4.17 g/t gold and 8.48 g/t silver over 4.0 metres. The 225-metre strike length between these holes remains untested and the massive sulphide horizon remains open along strike and to depth.

The 2008 program will focus on stepping out along the strike and depth extension on the known zinc-copper mineralization, testing along 225-metre gap and further testing of the gold-rich portion of the mineralized horizon.

The discovery of zinc + copper VMS mineralization at McClarty Lake represents a new discovery in a significantly under-explored area. The property is located approximately 24 kilometres southeast of the VMS Ventures’ Reed Lake discovery and approximately 45 kilometres south-southeast of HudBay Minerals’ Lalor Lake discovery.

The VMS horizon at McClarty is associated with a minimum 600-metre long, north-trending electromagnetic (EM) conductor. A detailed airborne VTEM survey is being flown over the entire property to fully define the extent of the conductor system and to test for the presence of other conductors which may also have associated VMS mineralization.

The McClarty Lake property comprises five contiguous mineral claims totalling 596 hectares. Troymet owns 100% of three of the claims staked in 2000 and holds an option to obtain a 60% interest in two claims (252 hectares) from Hudson Bay Exploration and Development (HBED).
